Brxham Harbour is 1 mile away, offering regular boat trips and fresh fish from the local fishing fleet. Catch an old fashioned steam train to Kingswear and a ferry across to Dartmouth for a lovely day out.
This magnificent Grade 1 listed, 12th century Manor House has been fully restored skillfully blending with contemporary comfort. The Hotel is a step back in time with large open inglenook fires offering a warm welcome to our visitors. With walls covered in original portraits, tapestries, armoury and mirrors. This truly is an amazing place to stay and relax.
The Inn has 20 en-suite rooms all finished to a very high standard, some with four poster beds, roll top baths and walk-in showers.

This historic gem has been attracting visitors for centuries. Sir Humphrey Gilbert, who colonized Newfoundland lived nearby at Greenaway and was a regular visitor with his half brother Sir Walter Raleigh.
The famous crime writer Dame Agatha Christie was also a regular visitor and was inspired to write Poirot “The Murder on the links” here. Some years later Bruce Reynolds hid here after the Great Train Robbery.
Police searched but did not find him.
